Meanwhile, initial results for the first 150MW wind tender are expected to be revealed on 10 January.

Projects for the second tender must be presented by the end of April. Wind farms must be between 30MW and 50MW, as is the case with the first tender.

Next week, UTE, the Uruguay electricty company, will open envelopes containing the rates requested by developers in the first tender, effectively providing the results of the tender, as the lowest prices are expected to win.
