Wind developers say Chilean land tender is ‘too risky’ and dear

The tender, in which developers bid for the rights to land that wind farms can be built on, is seen as risky and expensive.

The government has already been forced to change the rules five times since officially launching the tender in December. Changes have included reducing required financial guarantees and easing entry restrictions.

But they do not appear to have been enough.
