A company official tells Recharge that the second-largest global vendor after Vestas is looking at pilot and utility-scale “quality projects” that would allow it to demonstrate performance of turbines to potential buyers.
The company’s main onshore product is the SL1500 series turbine, which would compete head-to-head with US market leader GE’s top selling 1.5MW machine.
Average turbine size per US installation has increased in the past few years to 1.77MW
