Germany will add 2.18GW a year and lift the share of wind in its energy mix from 8% to nearly 17% by the end of the decade, according to the baseline scenario outlined in a new report from the industry body.

Trailing the Germans in EWEA's forecast are the UK (expected to add 2.08GW annually), Spain (1.93GW) and France (1.73GW).
