Gamesa has narrowed the field to Dundee in Scotland and the English town of Hartlepool. Calvet says a decision rests on the cost and the support the company can get from port authorities and local government.
The company will continue to consider a second site, but this will depend on the level of orders it gets for its 5MW and 6/7MW offshore turbines.
