Greenko told its investors it has now signed a formal agreement with the US manufacturer, firming-up a previous memorandum of understanding over the supply deal.
The deal covers the delivery and commissioning of 200 GE 1.6-82.5 machines to Greenko, which plans to develop a total of 1GW of wind projects across India.
The turbines – which are in addition to those ordered for 65MW of wind already under construction – will be supplied by GE on a phased basis over the next three years.
