AMSC is seeking more than $1.2bn in damages from what was once its largest customer through the arbitration and three civil lawsuits, including what the company describes as the "largest intellectual property case ever undertaken in China". That claim was accepted by the Beijing Higher Court 9 November, AMSC says.
Last June, AMSC discovered what it says is evidence that a former employee passed software for its low-voltage ride through (LVRT) technology to Sinovel.
