The 92-metre by 73-metre platform will be deployed in the German North Sea to host power conversion equipment for the Dolwin 2 offshore wind transmission cluster.
The platform, called Dolwin Beta, will have a capacity of 924MW and handle the power from three wind farms. It includes accommodation facilities for 16 people and a helicopter deck.
Drydocks World will construct the platform for Norwegian energy services group Aibel.
