The Spanish company will deliver and install 22 of its G90-2MW wind turbines for Eolo de Nicaragua, located in Rivas, and provide maintenance services for a period of 10 years. Nicaragua currently has one 63MW wind farm in operation.

Gamesa has already received orders for 236MW in Latin America this year.

Globeleq Mesoamerica Energy (Wind) Limited, a subsidiary of Globeleq Generation Limited and Mesoamerica Power Ltd, has already built the Cerro de Hula project with Gamesa, a 102MW wind farm located in Honduras that started operating in December 2011.
