Details of the plant in southern Brazil were not provided, but the Uruguayan facility will have an annual capacity of 100 towers. Construction is scheduled to begin by August.

Impsa had success in the first round of Uruguay’s 150MW tenders held by state utility UTE in 2010-11, due partly to being able to promise a high level of local content.

In total, the company has or is closing in on contracts for 115MW of capacity in Uruguay spread across four phases of the Libertador project.
