The final environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Chokecherry and Sierra Madre Wind Farm examines Power Company of Wyoming's proposal to build up to 1,000 turbines at two sites in south-central Wyoming. Separated by just 8km, the sites are being reviewed jointly.

The project, which could accommodate up to 3GW of wind capacity, was one of 17 renewable energy projects picked by the Bureau of Land Management for priority review in 2012.
