London Array – which expects to complete its 630MW first phase by the end of this year – says it has amassed enough evidence to satisfy previous conditions relating to the impact on bird species in the Thames Estuary.
The 40-sq-km second stage would not use all of the area originally earmarked for development, bringing the total project up to 870MW, rather than about 1GW as originally envisaged.
