New capacity in 2012 means the UK will overtake both France and Italy, putting it at the top of “League 2” among wind-power nations, says Edge.
Edge adds that he is confident that the UK will soon break through into the “League 1” of countries such as the US, China, India, Germany and Spain that have over 10GW of capacity.
