In addition to its own two plants being built on Quai Joannès Couvert at Le Havre, northwestern France, Areva claims it has made significant progress “mobilising” other supply chain players to establish an “industrial ecosystem” in the city that will create more than 750 jobs.
Among the companies set to add jobs in the area are ABB and Moventas, the Finnish gearbox maker which earlier this year nabbed a supply contract for Areva’s 5MW M5000 turbines.
