“Our message to the people in Hamburg who have created this event is clear: give us a break,” said the President of Schleswig-Holstein Torsten Albig.
"You have tried this before and it hasn’t worked, and now you are trying it again and it won’t work this time – so stop wasting everybody’s time,” he adds.
Local officials insist that preparations for the next Husum event in 2014 are going well, with 50% of the exhibition space already reserved.
