The partnership with Polish private-equity group Avallon will begin by developing a 35MW wind farm in northwest Poland – in an area of “particularly favourable wind conditions”, according to Falck.
The wind farm is expected to enter commercial operation by 2016. Falck plans to assume full ownership and control of the plant once the development phase is complete.
Falck says it now has a Polish wind pipeline of about 100MW, half of which is at an advanced development stage.
