The deal marks the first sale for Gamesa in Uruguay’s growing wind market.
The project is being developed by Abengoa via local companies Teyma and Inabensa in Peralta, in the department of Tacuarembó.
As well supplying the turbines, Gamesa will provide operations and maintenance services for 20 years.
Gamesa will produce the machines at its manufacturing plants in the US, with delivery and commissioning set for 2013.
