The local resource and the regulatory regime have led Falck to reshape its business plan to maximise its efforts in Britain.
“The number of full load hours [for onshore wind] is much higher here than in Italy, France, Spain or Poland,” chief executive Piero Manzoni says about the four other countries his company is investing in.
“In Italy you might have an average of 1,950 full load hours per year, while in England it would be 2,700 hours and in Scotland more than 3,200.”
