Vestas chief executive Ditlev Engel says: “We have no plans to participate in consolidation, but for the V164 turbine the cost is of such a magnitude that we would be open minded about sharing this and cooperating with someone else.”
Engel says Vestas is committed to producing the prototypes of the giant V164 machine, but that it could team up with a partner before it moves to the serial production of the turbine.
