Nordberg – who is also an executive vice-president in the Ericsson Group – will replace outgoing chairman Bent Erik Carlsen if he is elected at Vestas’ annual general meeting on 29 March.

Vestas is also proposing Lars Olof Josefsson, a former president of Sandvik Mining and Construction, as deputy chairman.

Both top posts on the Vestas board fell vacant during a turbulent few weeks at the world’s biggest turbine-maker that has also seen a number of senior members of the management team leave, as well as profits warnings and jobs cuts.
