Vestas to supply 90MW to Enel's Valle de los Vientos in Chile
Wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has booked a 90MW order from Enel Green Power (EGP) to equip a plant in Chile.
The Danish equipment group will provide 45 V100-2.0 MW machines to the Valle de los Vientos wind farm.
The order was placed under a 400MW global supply deal the two companies signed in September 2010, says Vestas.
The deal includes a five-year service agreement.
EGP announced last week that it had started work at the $140m project, which is part of plans by the Italian group to add 250MW of new wind power in the South American nation by 2016.
The 2010 deal covered the period 2011-14, and included an option for an additional 1GW beyond the initial 400MW, says Vestas.
