Vineyard Wind has reached agreement on fiscal terms and other conditions with the Town of Barnstable on Cape Cod to allow placement of a new electrical substation there, a milestone in the developer’s effort to begin 2019 construction of an 800MW wind project off the coast of Massachusetts.
Vineyard will easily be the largest US offshore wind farm thus far as the industry begins to take form along the Atlantic seaboard.
