The 385MW Arkona wind farm has exported power from the first of its 60 Siemens Gamesa turbines in the German Baltic Sea, said co-developers E.ON and Equinor.

“It only took one year from the first monopile installation to the first electricity feed-in. Rarely before has a project [build] been so straightforward,” said E.ON Climate & Renewables chief operating officer Sven Utermöhlen.
