Engie has signed a deal to buy all the power from the 385MW Arkona offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
The French energy group said it will market the power – estimated at 1.5TWh annually – on the German day-ahead and intraday markets for four years after being selected following a competitive tender. It will also manage “various market-related risks” for Arkona, a joint venture between E.ON
