A first set of LM Wind Power 66.6-metre blades was successfully installed on Shanghai Electric’s 4.0MW-136 offshore wind turbine in China, the GE unit said.

Shanghai Electric’s platform is designated for wind class II areas in Shanghai and beyond, LM Wind Power added. The Chinese company manufactures the offshore turbines under a licensing agreement with GE rival Siemens Gamesa.
