Vestas has announced a 202MW order for a winning project in last year’s first renewable energy auction in Alberta, Canada.

The Danish OEM will deliver its V136-3.45 MW turbines, operating in 3.6MW Power Optimised Mode, to Capital Power’s Whitla Wind project in the province’s southeast.

The deal includes a 10-year service agreement. Delivery is due to begin in Q2 2019, with commissioning scheduled for the following quarter.
