An Australian-Spanish joint venture comprising Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners and Elawan has begun commercial operation of the 200MW Persimmon Creek wind farm in the US state of Oklahoma.

Quinbrook, a hedge fund, and Elawan, a fast- growing Madrid-based renewables player, invested equity in Persimmon, which employs 73 GE Renewable Energy 2.5MW turbines.

GE Energy Financial Services(EFS) and JP Morgan provided tax equity investments and construction lending came from several banks including ABN Amro and MUFG and EFS.
