The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has agreed to finance over 300MW of renewable energy projects being developed by Akfen Renewables across Turkey.

EBRD will provide a financing package of up to $102m to the Turkish conglomerate, which will build four new wind farms and nine solar PV plants with a combined capacity of 327MW.

Akfen Renewables will invest in the 99MW Ucpinar wind farm, the 26MW Kocalar and 51MW Hasanoba projects, all located in northwestern Turkey in the Canakkale province, and the 66MW Denizli wind farm in the southwest region of the country.
