Serbia's 158MW Cibuk I wind farm is expected to start production earlier than initially planned, project partner Masdar has said.

With a capacity of 158MW, Cibuk 1 is the largest wind project to date in Serbia. The project is located about 50km northeast of Belgrade it was initially slated to be commissioned by 2020.

However, Abu Dhabi-based Masdar said in a statement on Tuesday that start-up is now planned for next year, as construction work is progressing well.
