German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon last week has commissioned a first prototype of its E-126 EP3 model for medium wind speeds (IEC IIA wind class) at Kirch Mulsow, in the north-eastern German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The top-selling wind OEM in Germany tells Recharge it will build first client projects with the 3.5MW model this autumn, and present the current state of development of the EP3 platform at the WindEnergy Hamburg trade show in late September.
