The giant offshore substation for Iberdrola-owned ScottishPower Renewables’ (SPR) 714MW East Anglia 1 (EA1) wind farm has been successfully installed in the southern North Sea, some 59km off eastern England.
The largest ever AC offshore substation ever fabricated was installed by the Seaway Heavy Lifting vessel Oleg Strashnov.
