China’s leading turbine OEM Goldwind said it is gearing up for a “golden age” of distributed wind power and a shift in the geographical centre of development, as it unveiled a sharp jump in net profits at the half-year stage.

Goldwind posted a net profit of 1.53bn yuan ($224m) in the January to June period, up 35% on the same stage in 2017, on revenues 12% higher at 10.96bn.
