The competitive pressure in German onshore wind auctions has decreased – leading to higher prices – as the wind industry is deeply unsettled by a series of policies and restrictions limiting the amount of areas available for wind power, the network for wind energy (WAB) said.

The group representing the wind sector in Germany’s Northwest region made the comment after the average price for winning bids at the country’s 670MW third onshore wind tendering round this year rose to €61.60
