Hydro-Québec and developers of a proposed 400MW wind project in the Canadian province’s remote Côte-Nord region have reached a preliminary power off-take agreement for the initial 200MW stage.

Terms of the deal were not made public. Hydro-Québec, a public utility that is the world’s fourth largest generator of hydropower, and the two project partners will delay presenting the draft accord to their boards until after the 1 October provincial election.
