The Carbon Trust Offshore Wind Accelerator and Dutch technology firm Fistuca together with industrial partners have successfully tested a new offshore wind installation pile driver that it says significantly reduces underwater noise levels.
The 'Fistuca Blue 25M' hammer was tested on August 13 as part of the Offshore Wind Accelerator Blue Pilot project off the coast of the Netherlands using Van Oord’s offshore installation vessel Svanen.
