Brazil’s federal power group Eletrobras has scheduled for 27 September the sale of its minority or controlling stakes in 967MW of wind assets for a minimum price of R$1.9bn ($500m).

The sale includes 59 special purpose companies (SPCs) in which Eletrobras subsidiaries own stakes ranging from 49% to 99%.

The sale is part of a deep restructuring of the company’s assets and finances.
