GE Renewable Energy has secured a framework deal to provide O&M and remote operations for TerraForm Power’s 1.6GW North American wind fleet for an 11-year period, as the US-based yieldco looks to boost the lackluster performance of its wind farms.

TerraForm revealed the deal in announcing its second-quarter financial results on Tuesday, saying GE will provide resource-adjusted guarantees for the performance and availability of its multi-OEM wind fleet, with cost savings to materialise in early 2019 after a 9-12 month transition period.
