Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with six global and four local suppliers to push ahead with the build-up of a localised supply chain for offshore wind in Taiwan.
The as-yet still non-binding agreements signed at SGRE’s ‘offshore wind localisation day’ in Taipei cover solutions for machining, control systems and coolers, and aim at helping the island state’s goal to reach 5.5GW
