Orsted-backed Bay State Wind has made a “significant” change to its proposed turbine layout pattern for a future wind farm facing the coast of Massachusetts, as the US state considers whether to procure another 1.6GW of offshore wind energy.
In response to feedback from fishermen and community members, Bay State repositioned the turbines in rows running from east to west, the preferred orientation for fishing.
