Southern Power, the independent generation arm of US utility group Southern Company, has completed its 148MW Cactus Flats wind farm in central Texas, with the full output sold to two corporate buyers.
Southern acquired the Cactus Flats project last year from developer RES Americas as part of their multi-gigawatt joint development deal aimed at taking maximum advantage of the fading production tax credit.
