Quantum Energy Partners, a US private-equity firm focused mainly on oil and gas, has launched new renewables business ConnectGen, buying stakes in a number of wind projects and hiring former executives from EDP Renewables and Clean Line Energy Partners.
ConnectGen has started out by acquiring the remaining non-transmission assets of Clean Line, including its interests in a 600MW wind project and a number of development-stage wind and battery-storage projects.
