Renewables profits soared by a quarter at Spanish energy giant Iberdrola as output grew on new capacity additions around the world, including the contribution of the Wikinger offshore wind project in the German Baltic Sea.
Iberdrola’s renewables unit delivered operating profits (Ebitda) of €1.184bn ($1.38bn) in the first half of 2018, up 25.5% on the same stage a year earlier.
