Avangrid Renewables executives expressed confidence on Tuesday that Vineyard Wind, the company’s 50-50 joint venture with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), will meet its ambitious timetable to have an initial 400MW of wind power capacity in commercial operation off the coast of Massachusetts in 2021.

To get there, Vineyard expects to make major procurement decisions by early 2019 and obtain all federal, state and local permits and regulatory approvals by early 2020, Avangrid chief executive James Torgerson and Laura Beane, renewables business chief, said on a conference call.
