Two Navajo Nation utility-scale wind projects that were among the largest proposed on American tribal lands remain stalled, a spokesman tells Recharge.

The 500MW Gray Mountain Wind Project was to be located north of Flagstaff, Arizona, and the 200MW Big Boquillas Ranch facility near Seligman in northwestern Arizona.

“These two are considered the best places for wind energy on Navajo land,” said spokesman Jared Touchin.
