US utility group Alliant Energy has revealed the fifth and final project under its 1GW wind expansion in Iowa, agreeing to buy the 210MW Richland project from developer Invenergy.
Alliant will buy the project before it enters construction, then build and own the wind farm in-house. The project is located in sparely populated Sac County, western Iowa, and due on line in 2020.
