Van Oord has agreed to buy the bulk of the MPI Offshore wind installation business, with fellow contractor Jan De Nul also acquiring a chunk of the UK-based operation.
Van Oord will take over MPI's UK base and the MPI Adventure and MPI Resolution vessels from current owner Vroon Group, said a statement.
Financial terms were not disclosed for the deal, which is subject to various approvals and expected to close by the end of September.
