Utility Xcel Energy and developer Apex Clean Energy have received regulatory approval for their 300MW Dakota Range wind development in the US state of South Dakota, among the first major projects to advance publicly without the full production tax credit.
Last Autumn Xcel, among the most pro-wind US utilities, agreed to acquire the Dakota Range I and II projects from Apex.
