Oil & gas services group Petrofac deepened its footprint in the offshore renewables sector with a contract to deliver two offshore wind substations in Dutch waters.

Petrofac said its deal with network operator TenneT covers full EPCI at the Hollandse Kust Zuid Alpha and still-to-be finalised Beta HVAC platforms in the North Sea.

Hollandse Kust Zuid Alpha is due online in 2021, serving the project won by Vattenfall in the world's fist zero-subsidy offshore wind auction, with the Beta platform due in operation a year later subject to wind farm tendering by the Netherlands’ government.
