Vineyard Wind is looking to build part of its 800MW Massachusetts offshore wind farm out of facilities at Brayton Point, a 1.5GW coal-fired power plant that was retired last year along the state’s south coast, the developer has confirmed.
Vineyard Wind, owned by Avangrid and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, will handle most of its onshore staging work at New Bedford’s Marine Commerce Terminal.
