BlackRock Real Assets has set the seal on a deal with developer Zephyr to acquire a 100% interest in the construction-ready 197.4MW Guleslettene wind power project near Florø on the west coast of Norway.
Production from the wind farm, expected online in late-2020, will supply smelters at Alcoa Norway’s nearby aluminium plant under a 15-year power purchase agreement, which is underwritten with the Norwegian Export Credit Guarantee Agency.
